Great Golf

I shot a Birdie on hole #9 at Serendipity with a score of 44 for 9 holes. The ball dropped close to the hole to set up for the Birdie.

Kayak

Tom and Roger went kayaking while Sheila cut Vi and my hair. No pictures of the new cut but Tom couldn't even tell the difference so probably none needed.

Vi, Sheila, and Roger Visit

Tom, Vi, and Sheila sitting on the deck. Roger is taking care of the dogs.

More Golf

We met Dave in Blanchard, ID to play at StoneRidge Golf course and had a great time. I think Dave had a plan when he brought us our clubs. Dave and Tom played well but 18 holes on a regulation course are just too much for me. We all got some good shots and it was beautiful scenery.

Golf - Serendipity course in Ione

Dave went to Bishop to pick up the car he had in our garage and brought us back our golf clubs so we got to play. We both played well so we were happy about that and ready to play more.

Logs on the Road

When we went our for our anniversary dinner in Metaline we saw fallen logs on the road both coming and going. We were just minutes behind one falling and helped clear the road.

3 Years

We are celebrating our 3rd wedding anniversary today.
(I don't have any pictures of this event.)
It is raining so we are spending the day quietly but enjoying the weather. It has been really hot and dry this summer so our yard really needs this.

5 Days of Fun

The last night as we finished dinner on the deck. All good things must end - Stewart, Chris, Savannah, and Sierra left early monday morning to fly home to Tahoe.

The party continues

The weather was not great but made for beautiful skies. The skiing and tubing was daily and when the water was smooth the girls could stand on the X. Sorry no pictures of that.

McMorrow Family Visit

Stewart, Chris, Savannah, and friend Sierra arrived here Wed and immediately started playing on the water. We bought the pull toys last week and we tested them first. Tom didn't enjoy either but it might have been my driving. I thought being pulled was fun.

Random Pictures

The robin has a big worm, she is busy feeding 4 babies in a nest in the red elm tree. One of the babies fell out and we put it back and it was fine. It is a myth about the smell of humans disturbing the parents. Cooking dinner on the deck.
A hornet or wasp nest found under the deck by the dock. So glad the inhabitants were gone. We removed it and it was amazing to examine close up. Felt like it was made from layers of paper.

Metaline Falls

This old hotel is now apartments but was housing for the miners when this was a bustling mining town. There are several historic buildings in town but this is the most interesting from the exterior. This town was home to Portland cement form many years. The apartments now rent for under $300/mo utilities included.

Snowmobile Races - Sunday -Downriver Days

The entire park is filled with people and booths. We came by boat so I have a good view of everything. On Sat. after the parade we looked at everything in the park. The shore across from the park (below) is where the snowmobiles come ashore at the end of the race.
The racer out in front is leaving such a wake that you can't even see the guy in second.
Below is where they race from. It is hard to see but two snowmobiles are leaving the beach.
