Golf in Borrego Springs

Tom and Bobbe waiting to putt
The Road Runner Golf Course is the perfect course for me. No hole is over 200 yds so I have a chance to score well. I had a few pars and one birdy. Long courses just kill me. Tom and I are playing even here at the Road Runner but on other courses he has to give me a stroke a hole.

Views from 641 Houston Bishop, Ca

We found a place on the Mesa with better views than our present place and it backs up to BLM so no one can build and block any of the view. It should close escrow after Thanksgiving. We are headed to join the WIN group for the holiday. Mt Tom above
The White Mountains and BLM land. The Pleasant Valley Resevoir is not far behind the property.

Mammoth Ski Area 11/16/07

These snow conditions sure look different than the descriptive daily email snow reports I receive. I was amazed that there were actually people skiing and snowboarding. It looks like it will be a while before we ski.

Hwy 395 North

We parked the motorhome in Hesperia at the Elks. Tom took out the inverter to be repaired in Victorville, then we headed to Mammoth. This picture was taken when we switched drivers where Hwy 14 and 395 meet.

Golf on the Island 11/13/07

We played golf at the Island Course followed by a visit to the Elks to see old friends. Our golf games weren't great but we enjoyed the weather and views.

Parker, AZ Nov 2-10

We had a great spot on the river and enjoyed beautiful sunsets, usually from the floating bar "The Roadrunner" where I spent my Birthday. We kayaked down from the Dam to our site (thank you Allen for transporting our car). The paddle was beautiful with calm wind and few power boats. The rock formations are amazing but I didn't take my camera.

Heading south but separate

I drove the car to San Clemente to see Anna, Aaron and Waylon in their new house and got the added bonus of my sister, Tina and her son Doug too. I was hoping Doug would have his pictures on his blog because this is the only picture I took. Anna with baby to be, Waylon, with Doug, laughing at his moves.
Tom left in the rig and headed to Parker, AZ where I joined him on Monday.

The picture of the mountains was taken on my drive south on Hwy 395. The mountains were just before Mt Whitney and I took this picture without stopping so you get to see the car and road as well.

Mammoth

We had an evening of rain, then when we left the next day to go to Bishop we saw what it had done to the mountain. It is warm so not much chance it will stay.
