We are going to Salome

We left Quartzsite on Sunday and went to Parker because Tom had an appointment in Havasu to have the inverter changed on Monday morning. When the repairs were complete we came back to Parker for another day. We are going to explore new places to camp while we wait for more snow. We found our perfect place to stay it is between Salome and Wendon, there is a great golfcourse, 9 holes with grass at the tee box and for chipping and putting. We also found a good place to eat that serves fresh organic food as well as meat sandwiches so we ate there 3 times. We hope to come back soon

We are in Parker, AZ Jan 30, 2007

This is the first picture I took at Quartzsite but wasn't able to get on the blog. It was windy but soon became perfect weather.

Still in Quartzsite

I still can't get my pictures to load even though I tried using Pete's WiFi. I am busy and will try again later. We went to Blythe yesterday to check out the golf course and tomorrow Tom plans to play. Beautiful weather makes us just want to sit out and enjoy the sun.

The Big Tent in Quartzsite

We still can't get pictures to download. Today we went to the big tent and bought a King dome to improve our TV watching. We only stay indoors when it is windy, wet, and/or cold and that is when our TV system doesn't work so we are upgrading to semi-automatic dome. Hope I can add pictures soon.

Quartzsite with the WIN's

We have been in Quartzsite since Saturday but the wind was so strong or something that I couldn't get a good enough signal to post pictures or even words. The wind was so strong yesterday they emptied the big tent. We plan to go visit the tent today and see what we can buy. No luck with the pictures so will try again later.

Cold Here Jan 14, 2007

We have been looking for somewhere warm to visit, but everywhere seems cold. We are staying home near the wood stove which is much warmer than being in the motorhome. It is MLK's birthday so it is too crowded to ski so we have an excuse to just hang out. I will try to add pictures later. On Friday night it got down to -5 F but last night it was Zero. Now at almost noon it is 20F so we are thinking of heading outside.

I finally remembered to bring my camera so I got pictures of us on the mountain. Dave, Bobbe and Patty. It got too cold and windy so Tom and I quit early. Dave and Bobbe stayed late on the mountain. We will definitly be back in the spa again tonight.

Skiing in Mammoth - Monday Jan 8th

On the top of Lincoln Mt. - a beautiful day.
The parking lot at chair 2. It looks like the WINS are here. If you look closely next to the camper is a car with kayaks and a bike. More than just Tom and I like so many different sports.

This picture was taken the opposite direction from the picture of Tom, towards Mammoth Mountain.

A New Blog for the New Year

We began the new year in Yuma on the BLM land next to the VFW. We were parked among friends and enjoyed the WIN gathering. On Wed. the 3rd we drove to Jojoba. We had great weather and no traffic. We rested a day in Jojoba waiting for the wind to end and drove to Mammoth.
On the drive to Mammoth we had strong head winds but enjoyed watching all the cars driving south. We were afraid to ski Sat. because of holiday crowds but Doug & Tina (my nephew and sister) said it wasn't that bad. We skied today and had a great time but needed to get home in time for Tom to watch football, so I am starting this new blog. I forgot my camera today so will take pictures tomorrow and add them.
